Xsub v5.0 Setting Notes
MDK 1-12-12

The DSP settings included in this folder provide options for polar pattern control of the Xsub loudspeakers. The two options are Cardioid and SuperCardioid. Both settings provide a different polar characteristic which can be used to best fit your application. For all cardiod settings users should make sure there is adequate space between the loudspeakers and any refelctive boundaries.

The Xsub Cardiod v5.0 settings provides impressive cardiod performance if used in the proper configuration. This setting has maximum rejection at the rear of the loudspeaker with reducing rejection as you approach the front.

The Xsub SuperCardioid v5.0 setting provides a polar pattern that has maximum rejection at roughly 45 degrees off the rear of the enclosure. This setting also allow slightly more output directly at the rear of the enclosure as per typical SuperCardioid polar patterns.

The same front setting is used across all settings included in this folder. For desicriptions of the appropriate configuration and additional information, please review the Cardioid Subwoofer Array Settings paper located on the EV website.
